High-Performance Magnum/Full-auto Suppressor
High-Performance Recoil-Reducing Magnum/Full-auto Suppressor
To put it simply, the MAGNUS Suppressor line is the highest performing hard-use titanium suppressor on the market right now.
The MAGNUS Suppressor was originally released in 2022 as a high performance Magnum rifle suppressor, with a full-auto-rating when used with the SR mount.
Let’s cut to the chase– The Magnus Suppressor is the quietest .30 cal suppressor on the market for everything — .223’s, 6mm’s, 6.5mm’s, 7mm’s, and .30’s — up to .300 Norma Magnum. The only thing quieter is a 338 ULTRA GEN2, which is larger.
MANUS-K
Best-for: Hunting, PRS.
The Magnus-K (normal endcap version) is the best choice if you want the least length added to your rifle. Suppression is between an Ultra 5 and an Ultra 7 (Gen2).
The Magnus-K-RR (Reduced Recoil version) is the best choice if you want recoil reduction and the least length added to your rifle. Recoil reduction (using 300WM number for comparison) is over 60%. Shooter’s Ear sound reduction is about 10 dBA louder than the non-RR version.
6.5 Creedmoor

The Magnus Suppressor simply beats every other .30 caliber suppressor on the market today for total, raw, suppression.
Each brake includes one peel washer
Peel washers have an O.D. of 0.840-0.845″ and an initial thickness of approx 0.048-0.055″.
More Information
This is the naming scheme for the MAGNUS MODELS:
MAGNUS {-X} {-RR} -YY -CAL
{-X}Â if present, this is the length designator for K or S lengths. If absent, indicates full-length (9.0 for CB/BA/HUB mounts).
{-RR}Â if present, this indicates the RR or Recoil Reduction model.
-YYÂ indicates the MOUNT type. Possible choices are CB, BA, HUB, and SR. The various mount choices available are detailed below.
-CALÂ indicates the caliber of the suppressor. Possible choices are 30, 338, and 375.
For example, the MAGNUS-K-RR-CB-30 is a K-length MAGNUS with the RR brake, a CB mount, and .30 caliber. A MAGNUS-SR-30 is a .30 caliber MAGNUS SR (normal/full length).
MANUS-S
Best-for: Long-range shooting, Hunting, PRS
The Magnus-S (normal endcap version) is the shorter version of the Magnus and gives up little suppression while being over 2″ shorter. Suppression is between an Ultra 7 (Gen2) or Dominus-CB and the Ultra 9 (Gen2).
The Magnus-S-RR (Reduced Recoil version) has the most recoil reduction (on 300WM) of the RR models, by about 2%, because it hits the sweet spot of gas pressure at the RR brake ports.
MAGNUS FULL SIZE
Best-for: up to .30 cal Magnums, Hunting
The full size Magnus (normal endcap version) the quietest .30 cal suppressor and is ideal for big .30 cal magnums. On smaller calibers it’s also the quietest. For reference, suppression is significantly better than an Ultra 9.
The Magnus-RR (Reduced Recoil version) is the best option for big .30 cal magnums because it has the most sound reduction of any of the RR models while still having over 60% recoil reduction on 300WM.
When shooting 300 Winchester Magnum, the RR models (all lengths) offer over 60% recoil reduction when compared to a bare muzzle. For comparison’s sake, a normal MAGNUS-CB with flat endcap only has a 29% reduction on 300WM. See the table at the top of this page for all the recoil reduction data (click on it to make it larger!).
The RR models of each variant add 1.5″ to the overall length and add approximately 2.4 ounces.

This video explains the SR mount system and its applications on a precision rifle suppressor
This mount meets the mil spec represented in the 2017 Advanced Sniper Rifle (ASR) solicitation, and the 338 ULTRA SR is the suppressor that Accuracy International North America chose for their ASR rifle system submission.
The main feature of the SR mount is that it acts as a secondary, fail-safe, locking mechanism to retain the suppressor on the muzzle brake in all circumstances, unless explicitly removed on purpose, by hand. It also reduces the number of turns required to mount the suppressor due to a coarser thread and enables “Quick Mount” and “Quick Detach” functionality of the mount. The mount is mechanically very simple and user-level maintenance is possible.
The SR mount uses a novel paw and cam-path system to ensure that “full lock up” can happen in either of the two adjacent detent slots for any given final shouldering position of the suppressor on the conical brake shoulder. This categorically avoids the “off by one” problem that many “clicky” mounts have. The SR mount has the exact same accuracy, repeatability, and return-to-zero characteristics that all our precision suppressors are known for.
This mounting system is covered by US Patent 9,791,234.
NOTE: The collar is not intended to stay perfectly parallel/square to the body when locked. The play is there on purpose for clearance so foreign material does not compromise functionality of the locking mechanism.
The HUB interface version of this suppressor is meant for advanced users who are familiar with HUB-compatible mounts and know how to use their choice of HUB mounting system in a secure, reliable, and repeatable manner. If you get the HUB version, you should know what you’re doing. Everything behind the suppressor body is your responsibility.
We are not responsible for damage caused to this suppressor by another manufacturer’s HUB mount system, through its use, misuse, incompatibilities, or any other reason related to the mounting system.
For our part, we will guarantee that the HUB interface is correct and the suppressor will have acceptably-low runout when mounted on a TBAC reference HUB/DT interface.

“At the muzzle” (M) sound measurements are measured in accordance with MIL-STD-1474D using a B&K PULSE SLM one meter offset from muzzle of the suppressor. These are also referred to a “milspec-left” (ML) and “milspec-right” (MR)
“At Shooter’s Ear” (SE) measurements are measured in accordance with MIL-STD-1474D using a B&K PULSE SLM at the position of the shooter’s right ear in a normal shooting position. SE measurements are affected by overall rifle length.
To isolate the muzzle suppression from the supersonic crack (the “shockwave”), the shockwave pulse is omitted from peak measurements. Please refer to this video for more information: Thunder Beast education video #1. Sonic Crack. Per the video the supersonic crack presents an extremely short impulse in centerfire rifles that is 130-134 dB measured at the ML/MR and presents approximately 120-124 dB at SE (exact number varies based on caliber). For additional information on shockwave, please excerpts from the NATO document here.
Bolt action rifles will always be quieter than semi-autos due to the “port pop”, IE, gas pressure escaping through the action. On AR-10/AR-15 “gas gun” platforms, this port pop will almost always dominate the Shooter’s Ear (Se) dB number. The port pop of a gas gun can often be reduced substantially by tuning the gas system.
For centerfire semi-auto pistols, the sound pressure that escapes the breech is considerable and, due to shorter barrel lengths, influences both muzzle dB and shooter’s ear dB numbers.
Follow the YouTube links for the dB data breakout on any of these.
On the MAGNUS and 338 ULTRA, we recommend weighing them every 500 rounds. At this point, if the weight added due to deposited carbon exceeds 1 ounce, we recommend using our cleaning procedure until the suppressor is back to its orginal weight. Link to TBAC recommended cleaning procedures.
The GEN2 338 ULTRA and MAGNUS suppressors work by trapping and holding gas which means they gain carbon faster than the GEN1.
